Nobody hates nature. But not everybody loves donating to it either. For most people, donating is something they plan to do, but never get around to. But when a system is in place that rewards it, people follow through. And when you plant a tree with EcoTree, you’re not just donating. You’re investing. So we need to raise awareness and help nature lovers give back to nature while also helping themselves, by showing them that there’s value to be found in helping nature thrive.
Describe the creative idea
To increase follow through and encourage our audience to want to plant trees, we needed to show them what’s in it for them. So we created an ad that illustrates how purchasing one little tree today can have a big impact on nature’s future. A sapling planted by EcoTree holds the promise of a giant within it. The shadow represents the growth potential not just of the tree, but of forests and nature as a whole. The headline pays off how important it is to plant the seeds of a greener future today, while also rallying our target to finally act on their good intentions by highlighting the financial rewards that are unique to EcoTree.
Strategy and Insight
It’s said that a society is at its best when people plant trees knowing they’ll never sit in their shade. But EcoTree helps people do both. Planting trees with EcoTree helps to not only revitalize nature and invest in a greener future, but it makes your own future greener as well, as your investment grows. All in your own lifetime. Our creative shows how EcoTree makes it easy not just to see the value in nature, but to add to it and gain from it all at the same time. Since our target loves nature, they don’t need convincing about the importance of helping to preserve it. But in order to break through apathy and inaction, we needed a captivating, stop-in-your-tracks visual so we can help them realize that their actions can benefit themselves as well as nature.
