'Because I’m worth it', the longest-running tagline in advertising, has become synonymous with L’Oréal Paris. Created by tenacious woman copywriter Ilon Specht at McCann Erickson in the early 1970s, those words redefined beauty on women’s terms and formed the foundation for L’Oréal Paris to become the world’s largest beauty brand. Following an exclusive screening of a new documentary, 'The Final Copy of Ilon Specht', by Oscar-winning director Ben Proudfoot, which showcases the story of this unsung woman creative leader, this session explores the transformative impact Ilon’s four-word feminist manifesto has had on women and the advertising industry around the world.
