Execution
The idea launch and the PR work was started early 2012, with the launch of 6 shortfilms inspired on tweets from famous and created by Mexico and Colombia recognized filmmakers, the shortfilms started to be shared by the famous twitters that inspired each shortfilm, ensuring a prompt digital disclosure of the idea. Then we continue with the approach and alliance with several cinematographic companies in Colombia, the ones that through their networks began to break the news about the creation of this new festival in the world.
On the other hand, the festival started a strategy of participation on social media events at Colombia and Spain, and countless visits to universities with film school explaining the idea of the festival and its objectives long-range and beginning the student’s category on the festival. Then as a result of an exhaustive design work, we did the launch of the 140 festival statuettes to Directors, Producers, Writers, Art Directors, Cinematographers, Actors, Twitters, Bloggers and validators of film and the digital world, event that had media coverage of television, radio and digital.
Outcome
Among others, we have received over 400 short films inspired by tweets.
The festival has established itself as the first content platform of its kind in the world. To the point that brands like Nokia and Telefonica have decided to use this platform to generate their own content. With only 15 months of being created, the idea for the festival was nominated for “best Latin idea for the world” next to historical work from Coca Cola.
