OVERVIEW

Description

We ran the largest charity livestream in the history of the Polish internet. And we paid for every minute watched by a user. Easy, right?

Well actually, it took 32 of the most popular YouTubers, 13 TV stars and a 24-hour livestream on Play’s YouTube channel. We united influencers and celebrities for a good cause. And we united Polish Internet users for those in need.

Execution

To grab viewers’ attention, we gave them unique content. We rented a huge apartment in the centre of Warsaw and invited all the guests inside. Viewers had never seen them together before. Live. For 24 hours.

The livestream featured actors, travellers, singers, journalists and many of the most popular influencers; fashion bloggers, lifestyle youtubers, gamers, chefs, and many more. Users could watch all their idols. The more viewers, the more money donated to GOCC.

The more minutes watched, the more money for those in need. We used our experience in marketing, offline and online media. We organized live concerts, workouts, cooking lessons, live competitions and a meeting with fans outside the apartment. Users could play with their favourite gamers or talk on the phone with celebrities.

Our live show was shown live... on other live shows, e.g. Poland’s most popular TV channel TVN and “Saturday Night Live Poland”.

Outcome

Play’s channel became the most influential channel on YouTube. We were watched not only by young people but also by 50- and 60-year-olds. Remember, this is YouTube we’re talking about!

For 24 hours we became the No. 1 trending channel on YouTube.

We got over 1 million views and 2.5 million reactions. 98% of them were positive!

We received 160,000 comments.

We were watched for almost 23 million minutes, which is 43 years and 4 days.

People can do amazing things when they come together. We’re happy that we united Poles online for a good cause, raising almost 400,000 zlotys for those in need.
