OVERVIEW

Description

Saníssimo decided to help them by designing THE SQUID, a portable buoy that generates electricity using sea currents. A battery inside is charged and then it is used to power lights anywhere they need it.

It's a combination of a hydroelectric turbine and a buoy in a very small scale, which makes it portable and easy to use anywhere there is water flowing in currents.

Execution

We traveled to Ohuira Bay and installed solar buoys to help them navigate at night, and also we provided them with the portable hydroelectric buoys to help them have electricity whenever they experience power outages in the region.

The campaign started in lent season which is a period when the fishermen work the hardest to meet the seafood demands and while our audience is being bombarded with typical seafood ads, we decided to give them something different and helpful involving the fishing community and the close relationship with our products.

This local effort can be easily replicated in a larger scale in all mexican fishing ports and bays, solving a lot of electric deficiencies and making fishermen's work easier.

Easy to use and to carry around, we developed a very compact technology allowing it to be a powerful small device.

Outcome

Saníssimo is now perceived as an environmentally friendly brand which gets involved in every step of the whole process, including the one that concerns fishermen and their families as well.

A total of 1,369,623 people were reached, getting 14,552 engaged users and 3,426 interactions.

Our video organically reached 69,203 users, 28,487 plays and 874 interactions.

100% comments were positive and users are now demanding us to keep doing this type of actions more often, which is the response we wanted from them, including getting hungry with the tasty recipes fishermen’ wives gave us.

From launch day (March 15th) our campaign produced 56.2% of the total Saníssimo's profile engagement rate. Compared to normal rates, this means Saníssimo grew:

6,916% more views

2,964% more reach

2,705% more interactions

5,137% more engaged users

And thanks to this campaign, the performance in our posting grew:

4,281% in reach,

909% in interactions

1,289% engaged users
