OVERVIEW

Description

We have a huge, white, waiting room.

Visitors can be bored after few minutes waiting.How to entertain them while they are waiting?

Execution

We had the idea to design not only a Jukebox, but a Vegetal Jukebox.How does it work?

The plant is connected to an iTunes library. Change tunes randomly by a simple touch on any leave. High resolution sensors can feel the electric charge provided by the human touch on the plant. They then “d-jay” the information back to the music library hosted by a wireless connected laptop.

Designed in collaboration with French designer Matthieu Lehanneur.

Outcome

Not only do we surprise people, because when we tell them they can play with the plant and change music, they just don't believe us! But we also really entertain them.
