What started out as a wild plan of two Dutchies 20 years ago, is now Holland's biggest platform for junior creatives. Since 1991 the Dutch Young Dogs Foundation has been organising hundreds of pitches, workshops, portfolio nights and speed dates for junior creatives to meet. And to top that off, we travel to Cannes every year, where the young and restless get to see the best of the best in advertising, get inspired and meet exactly the right people, at the right time (3 am).

Outcome

We now have over 3,000 members and there isn't a single creative director in The Netherlands that doesn't know who we are. We even persuaded our target group, the agencies, to sponsor us. Members of the Young Dogs have won multiple awards, both national and international, the foundation received thousands worth of free publicity and if agencies want to meet fresh talent, we're the first they'll call. We got Cannes to introduce the Young Lions Pass, Zone and Competition and were even asked to host a masterclass here last year. But the best proof: almost all creative directors in the Netherlands were once members of the foundation.
