Description
Create a promotional item for sending out to key individuals in the advertising and design industries; an item that that will stand out from the usual photographers’ cards and that art directors and designers will want to keep.
Execution
The solution was to create a limited edition hardback book. The design came from the subject matter, Andy Green’s witty photographs of an imagined future, where people in radiation suits live under the glare of a hostile sun. The silvered cover of the book and its pages reflects the shiny reflective nature of the suits, while the swirled design on the cover refers to the sun’s rays. A number of quotations were included to give a context to the photographs – these are taken from popular songs, articles about Global Warming and from the Bible.
Outcome
The book was very successful within the industry, with an unprecedented number of requests to Andy Green Photography for more books to be sent out to agencies and design companies.
