Every year, more than 100.000 animals are given as gifts in Germany alone – with very sad consequences. Often the new owners find themselves unable to cope after just a few days, and abandon the animals on the streets. To prevent this from happening, the animal welfare organisation “Vier Pfoten” (“Four Paws”) has launched a new information campaign. The aim of the campaign is to show people that animals are not a disposable commodity, but a gift that is for life.
