Description
MedExpress declared war on viruses of all kinds. Including viral videos. We created a digital campaign called Anti-Viral Videos. Unskippable pre-roll ads that were purposefully, playfully annoying and hard to watch, to remind people that viruses are not something you want to spread around. The videos encouraged viewers to stop watching viral content, and go to MedExpress for an anti-viral flu shot instead.
Execution
We launched with a YouTube viral video roadblock and unskippable pre-roll placements with companion banner ads on viral video sites, driving to a MedExpress Anti-Viral microsite. The campaign was implemented nationally across the MedExpress footprint in two phases in Spring and Winter of 2015 when viral illness tends to spike.
The campaign also included display banners, Facebook ads, Twitter, paid search buying terms describing typical viral videos and trending viral videos, digital OOH and PR.
