For this product video, we needed a music track that would grab the attention of our 35-55 target audience. This age range either grew up or were young adults in the 80s so we looked for nostalgic 80s songs that would really catch their attention. We knew something in pop-culture would be important.
Then, we thought of the bright red Ferrari in the movie, Ferris Bueller's Day off. When he sees that car, the song "Oh Yeah" comes on and it became an instant classic defining the idea of "take life while you can." The song also closes movie when he shares similar parting words.
The song to us represented an incredibly exciting moment of joy that we wanted Busch fans and other beer drinkers to have when they saw our new product. The fact it was about a bright red Ferrari also matched up with our new red packaging.
