Take Aquafina, the Official Water of Major League Baseball, and a brand that strives to “Make Your Body Happy” and combine it with Major League Baseball Manager and notoriously angry guy, Lou Piniella.
The result was a downloadable, embeddable application (widget). This widget featured Lou Piniella as a digital bobble head, a popular piece of sports merchandise among fans, which delivered something completely opposite of the normal Lou – a humorous, uplifting quote from the man himself, every day for 31 days – starting on Opening Day. The widget also featured the TV spot and MLB news from an RSS feed.
