OVERVIEW

Execution

The National Library of the Philippines and National Book Development Board wants to lead the advocacy for reading through their Read a Book Project. They wanted to communicate the importance of reading by how books can change your life, your community, and even your nation.A small, privately owned street library in the midst of the urban poor served as the inspiration and subject of the campaign. What sets this library apart is that the books are not organized and carefully lent out by a librarian. They're simply out there on the street for anyone to borrow or steal as they please. Yet the community returns the books and the library only keeps growing. The library has even donated to other communities in need. The ad campaign is anchored on this library, as it is a microcosm of our developing nation and what good reading does for everyone.Latching on the idea that books open doors to other worlds and good values, we converted doors of frequented places to look like book covers.
