OVERVIEW

Description

A young couple is getting married. We follow them on a journey from the wedding, through a driving scene where the car ends up in a big river, further on in a motel-room and then into their dreams. In each scene a woman dressed in black is present. Each time in a different way. When the couple wakes up from the dream they walk into a city. They stop when they see something behind a glass in a office. Its the woman in black now sitting behind a desk. Behind her we recognize the SpareBank 1 logo.

Execution

The sollution was to create a new band with the name ”The Student”. We composed and recorded three songs, soon to become The Student´s debut EP Nutty Professor. The songs contained lyrics describing aspects of student-life.Then we promoted the band, describing them as the next sensation. After one week of "hyping", the debut EP was released on Spotify. You could listen and add the tracks to your playlist just as all other Spotify content. But the only way you could actually own the material, was to go to thestudent.no and download the SpareBank1 budget applicatio

Outcome

The campaign was very effective and successful with 3M views towards a very segmented target group (students – people between 18 and 25) and 12 600 unique CT. Those results are much higher than former bank related campaigns on Spotify.
