From the get-go we knew we needed an ever-green visual language for the idents. This took the form of a signature lens system, which paired with motion control camera movement allows us to reimagine this concept for years to come. Developed and crafted to possess the innate ability of capturing virtually any scene or environment, it makes each scene instantly ownable for the BBC One brand.
We positioned the films as short form, long players, aiming to replicate the satisfying feeling of 'people-watching'. Spotting something new on every viewing and adding serious weight to the term “blink and you’ll miss it”, they create a sense of continuous playout. Furthered innovation came in capturing *almost* every moment in-camera, using filmic techniques and filters to capture what is essentially fly on the wall CCTV footage cast through a curated lens to create a cinematic and everlasting live stream of the nation.
