Description

This BBC Two priority campaign is to promote two programmes scheduled together to capitalise on the renewed interest in oratory that has been sparked by President Obama’s exceptional skill as a speaker.

In this spot we see young children lip sync to JFK's inaugral address, demonstrating the power of speech.The Speaker, a factual entertainment show, is the main event – an 8-episode series in which 14-18yr olds from across the UK compete in front of a celebrity panel to become crowned as Britain’s Best Young Public Speaker.A 60” documentary fronted by Alan Yentob entitled ‘The Lost Art of Oratory’ will follow episode 1 of The Speaker taking a fond and irreverent look at the art and history of political speech.
