OVERVIEW

Execution

Solitary bees don’t live in hives, but they nest in wood holes they find in fields.

They risk their lives every day due to being exposed to intensive farming and pesticides.

Without them, the lack of pollination could diminish one third of our food supply.

On 4th April, 2019 Mulino Bianco, Barilla and WWF partnered to create a sustainable agriculture program. From that day, every wheat field was requested to have an area dedicated to flowers and biodiversity. Every sustainable field was marked with a sign.

We turn this sign into sustainable wooden homes, a safe habitat for solitary bees.

A shelter for more than 960 species.
