Microsoft Sports is an international division, created to convulse the sport ‘s world through technology.

Since 2014 Microsoft is the Official Technological Partner of the Real Madrid Club, empowering all aspects of the game both, inside and outside the pitch, helping the Club in all areas, providing tools and software to measure, analyze, compare, examine, optimize and empower players and games. But also, changing the way that fans, players and teams relate and engage with each other.

The first two seasons, Real Madrid and Microsoft stablish a unique way to merge all their capabilities, and begging the digital transformation of the way that sports will be seen, played, and enjoyed forever.

When the 2016/2017 season came, we had the challenge to communicate this digital transformation in an engaging and relevant way to all the Real Madrid fans, in particular, but also to all sport’s fans, firms and clubs.

Behind the Team is a series of videos of about 1:40 – 2:00 minutes, and are divided into two different categories: how the Microsoft platform bring closer the team to their fans, or the performance of the team and the players.

• Goalkeepers: They spend half of their training time in the pitch and other haft in front of a computer.

• The Fans: All the technology that bring the team closer to the fans.

• Team performance: To be fastest and strongest.

• Players Health: Real Madrid medical professionals register, analyze and even predict the health conditions of every player.

• Fitness performance: The feet of a footballer can make thousands of different movements and are one of the most important body-parts of the players.

• Mobility: Thousands of kilos, one hundred people and a Cloud platform to make it possible.

• The Pitch: The condition of the grass is decisive for any game.
