Description
A large sticker was developed with the copy "RUN" in a large font, with the details of the marathon start date and the website address printed below. These stickers were placed on all "No parking" signs all over Lebanon, whereby "No parking" translated in Arabic has a dual meaning of no parking and no standing still. So whenever you saw The "No standing still" sign, you saw a "RUN" sticker.
Execution
The film was launched on the 5th of September 2004, and the next day the print ads started appearing in the dailies. Fifteen days ahead of the marathon, the outdoor visuals appeared. Ten days ahead of the marathon the ambient media were displayed( no parking stickers,parking fines).
Outcome
Participation in the Marathon went up from 9,000 in 2003 to 12,000 in 2004 (an increase of 33%).
