Description
The message had to be imparted in a subtle manner as the topic is sensitive. The idea also had to fit well in the setting (the fair during Diwali).
Execution
The Blind Relief Association runs a school for blind children.
During the festival of Diwali, the association organises a fair where they sell products made by the children, the proceeds of which go towards the cause.
We designed special carry bags for the products with pictures of the school's blind children on them. When a customer picked up a bag, the child on it magically opened its eyes.
The bags demonstrated in a simple and memorable manner how buying things at the fair helped light the lives of blind children. It also reminded them about the need to continue to support the cause.
Outcome
The idea helped us thank the consumers in a subtle yet touching manner for their contributions. And more importantly, it served as a reminder to them for the need to continue to support the cause.
