A oversized giant-butterfly with the headline „Your BMW. Also as a miniature.“ was printed on electro-static, transparent film. The butterfly had the proportions of a real butterfly sitting on a miniature car. These transparent films with the butterfly where then applied by promotion teams on the windscreens and side-windows of parking BMWs.
The promotion was executed in Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Berlin.
Outcome
The promotion showed in an unusal, entertaining way that BMW miniatures are surprisingly real. Its success could be evaluated on the basis of two factors: First, passers-by and car-owners were both amused. Second, online visits on the BMW miniature website increased significantly after the promotion.
