Water without SodaStream is just water.
SodaStream’s slogan in South Africa is, ‘Water made exciting’.
We were briefed to bring this line to life to remind consumers of the magic that takes place when plain drinking water is introduced to carbon dioxide and is turned into exciting soda water.
We gave water and carbon dioxide molecules human characteristics and created a series of illustrations that literally demonstrate what happens inside a SodaStream machine the moment the button is pressed and water goes from functional to fun.
The print ads makes use of white space to invite the reader to lean in and take a closer look at the moments when the ‘life of the party’, carbon dioxide, enters the room.
