Kinokuniya is a globally known bookseller of repute. The store in Dubai Mall, UAE is a massive 68,000 square feet wide paragon book gallery which stocks more than half a million books and thousands of magazines in English, Arabic, Japanese, French, German and Chinese at any given time.
For this campaign, we were asked to create a campaign that attracted attention towards Kinokuniya and reading, at a time when the popularity for books is low.
A book can influence and inspire people in all kinds of ways. We wanted to bring this aspect to light so readers realise the power of a book.
After a lot of research, we found a number of links between a book and cultural trends. We decided to illustrate these links in a way that showed how a single book affected the world, from the seemingly simple to the more bizarre.
