The idea for ‘Bounce’ came from an agency creative, who had a conversation with his daughter through FaceTime on a trampoline while on a work trip. Phone calls to kids who miss you when you’re on the road are always hard… but when you connect with play, the distance seems to melt away. “Bounce” is its own sort of reality – one that defies space and time. Our director wanted to find the emotional truth of this mum and daughter moment, rather than the actual truth of it. It’s driven less by the future and shaped more by the way they feel when they’re together, even when separated by miles just connecting over a video call. When we get to the magical moments where the girl and mum are bouncing, the world becomes a lot warmer.
