Description
Broadgate is a large, 32-acre office and retail estate in the City of London, owned by British Land and Blackstone and managed by Broadgate Estates. Located on the original site of Broad Street Station and above the railway approaches into Liverpool Street station, it was the largest office development in London until the arrival of Canary Wharf in the early 1990s.
The identity needed to bring together and sum up the unique offer of Broadgate, a business, retail and leisure area.
Execution
The Broadgate identity is made up of brightly coloured triangles reflecting the development’s connectivity and vibrance. The Broadgate ‘B’ morphs into an endless variety of illustrations, to work as signage, advertising illustrations or just express simple witticisms.
Outcome
The identity successfully reinvigorated the Broadgate estate, raised awareness amongst employees, investors and the general public. Bringing together the various areas under one strong recognisable brand.
