Budweiser wanted to show Canada that they get hockey. And nobody loves hockey more than beer league players. They’re showing up at midnight just to get an hour on the ice. And every night, they’re out there as if they were playing for the Cup.We wanted to give these guys the chance to live their dream. So we researched and found two beer league teams outside of Toronto. We told them we were shooting a documentary (to account for the cameras) and then turned their ordinarily mundane game into a full-blown NHL experience. With over 600 screaming fans, mascots and a whole lot of confetti, we gave these well-deserving guys an experience they will never forget.
