Description
Looking for a way to communicate the numerous groundbreaking features of the Galaxy Note 7 – including water/dust resistance, an interactive stylus pen, iris scanner security checkpoints, and beautiful camera – we wanted to demonstrate that anyone, even Christoph Waltz would accomplish the American dream, do more with his time, and overcome any obstacle that comes his way when equipped with the Galaxy Note 7.
Execution
It’s no secret the rest of the world thinks Americans work too hard, and from the point of view of Austrian-German actor Christoph Waltz, our obsession with staying busy—and the reason why we need a new Samsung device that helps us get even more done—just doesn’t make sense. That is, until it does.
So during the 2016 Summer Olympics, Samsung launched this TV spot poking fun at the American dream, before quickly summarizing that the Galaxy Note 7 does allow everyone to take hold of their aspirations and accomplish them in the palms of their hands.
Outcome
With "Busy, Busy, Busy," the team brought to life the American dream and how the Note7 could help us achieve it via one task at a time. While the Galaxy Note 7 was eventually recalled globally for due to battery malfunctions, this TV spot did help Samsung achieve their largest and most successful phone launch to date.
