Coca-Cola Zero has a taste so similar to regular Coca-Cola's you can only tell between them by the bottle. So, in order to demonstrate this, we decided to ‘camouflage’ the Coca-Cola Zero bottles.We installed some very special Coca-Cola vending machines in a language school in Madrid: these were vending machines that turned Coca-Cola Zero into regular Coca-Cola.When students went to get a regular Coca-Cola between classes, they were met with a surprise: a bottle emerged from the Coca-Cola Zero machine which, by means of a complex mechanism, was turned into Coca-Cola Original (change of label, cap and refreshing).
Outcome
90% of students at the academy tried the Coca-Cola Zero machine.
Both by word of mouth and through the social networks via mobiles and tweets, communication of the action was immediate. In addition, the language school has kept the Zero machine and they continue to replenish stocks at the same rate as regular Coca-Cola.
