There are short films, TV dramas, animations and movies where ad agencies are involved. We did not come across any regulations during this project.

Execution

Natural Language Processing Entertainment “Perfume Comic Generator”.

Perfume launched a website before the release of the song and its music video using natural language processing entertainment that anyone could generate and share. We targeted their fan base consisting of creators who have constantly kept creating animations using Perfume’s songs and dances, and open sourced their films and shared them with the world. We made use of their creativity.

At the website, everyone could enter lines into speech bubbles on a storyboard. Then, the content was analyzed and a customized ending was automatically generated. The ending will be decided based on log-in information of the user provided on social network, time and much more. There is a possibility for an infinite number of endings and is sure to make users happy with lyrics, tweets and actual talks by Perfume.

Outcome

50,000 teaser movies created by each fan’s creativity were posted on the internet and shared. These films were spread through the internet, and Perfume themselves created teaser movie using this site on a TV program. We gained 250,000PV and 492,000 impressions. The videos were shared 9,500 times, and 7500 people tweeted about their original videos. The CD ranked no.1 on Billboard Japan hot animation.
