Description

BackgroundA showcase product, Compaq Presario 3500 is a sleek, stylish desktop computer aimed at discerning users who want a powerful machine with solid features to run both business applications and multimedia.Our goal was to promote it convincingly as a product for those who appreciate the finer things in life. But we needed to show that the Presario 3500 is also a powerful computing device, so the demo had to convince the user of its utility value as well.Sleek Demo ApproachThis demanded a balance of grace, style and impressive computing credentials. Our strategy was to create a moody, but non-agressive run-through of the Presario 3500's features and benefits and then allow the user to explore these at their leisure - with options to buy online, or find out more within the Compaq website.Visually we employed a rich interplay of evocative images wafting past the central image of the Presario 3500, accompanied by a soothing soundtrack of strings to enhance the upmarket positioning of the product.We developed 3D Studio Max, Vecta 3D, Freehand and Flash to create fully fleshed out rotationals of the product. Each product image is a vector rendering (not a photograph) allowing us to resize and rotate the product.
