Description

In China, long-distance relationships across country are becoming increasingly common. To help solve this problem, a sports wear brand Rapido created innovative clothing, Connected Wear. To further create buzz around our brand, we also produced a webpisode featuring Connected Wear. People could try Connected Wear for themselves through various channels. Connected Wear were displayed at its retail stores for experience. Some long-distance couples received Connected Wear and posted their trial clips. Through this campaign, Rapido has got all the attention among youth in China as well as long-distance couples.

Execution

Connected Wear is a set of jacket that allows people to share their present feelings to one another. Functions are listed and thoroughly explained as below.

-Connected Colors: Via embedded color sensor, color that you’ve touched will be appeared to his/her jacket as well as yours.

-Connected Message: Via Connected Wear App, the messages you sent will turn into adorable icons in another's jacket. For example, ‘I love you’ turns into pounding heart and ‘I miss you’ turns into falling tears.

People could experience Connected Wear through various media including Webpisode, displays at its retail stores, and trial clips.

Outcome

Connected Wear has become phenomenon among youth in China. Webpisode featuring Connected Wear has created buzz on Weibo(the biggest SNS channel in China). Because enormous people participated the promotion event for the long distance couples, the participation rate has upsurged and became extremely competitive. Those who selected, received Connected Wear as rewards and their trial clips have become hot issues throughout the nation. Connected Wear has become the most wanted item among long distance couples in China. This campaign is currently ongoing.
