Description

Copa90 is how football feels.

We play in the space that everyone else overlooks. The rich space of conversation that surrounds the game, online and in real life, outside the 90 minutes. We believe that everything around the 90 mins makes the 90 minutes mean even more.

We celebrate the positive side of the beautiful game.We use football as our passport to understanding new cultures.We bring the players and the fans closer together than ever before.

We show football as the ultimate unifier and embrace all that is positive about the game... when the world showed the violence of 100 people at Euro 2016, we showed the positivity and friendliness of millions.

The fans are our creators.

Execution

We operate as a global distributed media network which is fully audience optimised. Our creative output is designed and crafted specifically for the platforms where our audience spend their time.

Across Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat, we sync the cadence of our editorial content in line with the needs and behaviours of our audience.

A typical monthly content calendar includes a diverse, multi-media mix of always on, highly relevant moment based content, mid-form, appointment to view programming formats as well as evergreen long-from documentaries. On average we create 1,300 individual pieces of content per month.

We harness the passion and energy of young up and coming presenting talent that both our audience and footballing talent alike can genuinely relate to whilst leveraging fans within our global Copa90 Creator Network to source and create compelling fan focused storytelling.

Outcome

Copa90 is established as the world’s largest independent football business, engaging global audiences with original video content they love, on the platforms where they live. Our growing influence on global football fan culture is represented by the sheer pace and scale in the performance of Copa90 as a football entertainment platform.

Between March 2016 and April 2017 we hit 933,851,480 cross platform views, grew the overall Copa90 community to 15,162, 419 followers and subscribers and achieved a total of 72,249,411 engagements.

Our performance has helped us establish key long-term partnerships with Tier 1 football brands such as adidas, Pepsi, Hyundai and Budweiser, who have recognised our ability to authentically connect their brands global football fan culture at the scale of broadcast media whilst reaching audiences highly adverse to traditional advertising.
