OVERVIEW

Background

The aim of this project was to create an annual report covering mainly 6 areas of the Spanish Geography where Cotec has created patterns of innovative projects.

The total cost of the project was 57.000€, producing an amount of 1.300 units of the Annual Report.

Idea

Cotec is the most important foundation dedicated to innovation in Spain. Its Honorary President is King Felipe VI and its annual research on Spanish industry along with the exercise of innovation in the social and business structure, have a great influence on the Spanish state.

Based on the concept of innovation and territory, we sought the elevation of the areas where Cotec had exerted greater influence with their research, creating 6 unique covers in volume under a complex process combining craftsmanship and industrialization.

The memory focuses on innovative projects and tools developed by Cotec with different allies to address different territorial gaps. It also collects data, analysis, opinions and novel proposals to promote rural development and promote sustainable and equitable urban development.

Execution

Each cover represents a different version of a relief topographic map of rural communities where innovative projects have been developed.

The interior of the memory has three fundamental aspects, aerial photographs created for the memory, where graphics are implemented according to the concept of photography. An extensive range of infographics designed for each research scheme of the Annual Report.

It also contains a part of 3D renderings where we emphasized highlights that were important for the detailed memory and a typography that has followed an order of respect to the content, creating a solid and clear reading base throughout the printed book.

Outcome

The day of the presentation of the report creates high expectations for an innovative and differential result.

This year people were very surprised by the organic part of the report on its covers and the dynamics of its interior. The memories were sold out earlier than ever and created a very interesting pattern in the dynamics of creating the annual content.
