OVERVIEW

Background

Press freedom remains endangered in numerous regions across the globe, where journalists confront censorship, intimidation, and physical assault. As such, our primary objective is to establish a campaign that acknowledges the significance of journalism and inspires individuals to advocate for Reporters Without Borders.

Tragically, over the past two decades, a total of 1440 journalists have lost their lives. In a bid to raise awareness of this grave reality and the crucial endeavors of Reporters Without Borders, we introduced the "Death Sentences" print campaign. On the anniversaries of the journalists' deaths, we featured excerpts from their articles and the very words that proved fatal for them.

Outcome

During the campaign period, the monthly donation went up by 380%.
