Description

Christmas is a time of unprecedented consumption, particularly when it comes to corporate gifts, which are frequently low cost, low value items that litter our planet. The brief was to create a Christmas card that would be noticed, kept, entertain but have substance.

Execution

Each designer was challenged to come up with 5 personal sustainability practices, which they then had to visualise. These were compiled into a booklet of 52 tips of personal sustainability that encouraged individuals to personally contribute to making the planet a better place. One tip for each week of the year. The booklets included a $10 note that could be used to make a donation to a charity of the recipient’s choice, helping encourage positive behaviour. Digitally printed using Eco inks and recycled paper, we asked people to pass it on to others once they had finished with it.

Outcome

The book was distributed to all clients and friends of the business. It captured people’s attention, achieving cut through, generated conversation and also enquiries that led to new business.
