Description

Nextel Direct Connect is a digital two-way radio built into every Nextel phone. With one button, you're connected instantly - no voicemail, no phone tag, no waiting. Nextel is targeting blue and white-collar professionals who approach business and life with a sense of urgency and importance - no time for idle chatter and waiting around. The target audience feels frustrated by bottlenecks common in everyday communication. These bottlenecks may take the form of secretaries, voicemail, phonetag, inboxes, insensitivity to traditional cellular calls, etc. While the pace of business has accelerated, business communication has slowed. What our target needs is a faster, more effective way to communicate. Demonstrate relevance: Highlight specific relevance to target prospects - especially white-collar prospects. Overcome key objections: General lack of awareness of service/functionality, acceptance of cell phone communication alternative, confusion about features and benefits, lack of perceived relevance for business/personal use, privacy concerns, perceived steep learning curve. Engage users - stimulate site interaction. Leverage Mobile Office Email - demo learnings, streamline processes and user options, avoid long lead times, provide relevant information/benefits. Conversion - stimulate hand-off to online store. Generate and track sales leads.
