OVERVIEW

Description

The objectives of the FSC Inserta Program for Talent from the ONCE Foundation were:- To make it easier for disabled people to access the labour market.- To raise awareness and draw business owners' and employers' attention to the numerousadvantages of employing this segment of the population.- To inform disabled people looking for work about how to go about seeking employment.Target audience: The general public, the business community and disabled persons(comprising around 4 million in Spain including their families).

Execution

The campaign was implemented between December 2009 and January 2010.The documentary "CAPACITADOS (CAPABLE)" is the core element of the campaign.To announce the campaign a TV spot was recorded and broadcasted on national and regional television and radio ads were aired on national stations.Outdoor billboards generated awareness and traffic.Two e-mailings were sent to company directors to generate traffic to the website: capacitados.org where the whole documentary was shown.A mailing was sent to Business professionals and HR Managers.A website www.capacitados.org where users could see the full documentary, receive all the information on the campaign, on the Program for Talent, etc.Public relations campaign (press release & press conference with the media).

Outcome

- Due to the campaign's phenomenal success the Spanish state TV channel TVE ran the documentary at prime time on a peak audience day and (14th February at 21:30 in LA 2).- 114 campaign repercussions across a wide range of Spanish media (TV,radio, print and digital press).- 22,130 unique users on the website- 27,444 visits to the website- More than 60,000 visits to the website in the first month- Percentage of emails opened: 25,09% (1st wave); 43.88% (2nd wave)- 65.84% increase in the number of employment offers from companies to disabled people- 64.26% increase in the number of job positions offered by external companies to disabled people- 51.44% increase in the number of disabled people who signed onto the job register- Hundreds of references in blogs, Facebook, Youtube and Twitter.- Boosted awareness amongst opinion leaders.(Source: FSC Inserta/ONCE Foundation)
