Users of any carriers can enjoy Illumination signature with Disney characters in a unique and adorable e-mail address for each user. Also, the campaign encouraged store visits by creating limited characters that were only available at certain shops. When a new contract with Disney Mobile was signed, the user received a cell phone strap with the one-of-a-kind Illumination signature designed by him/her. We won new contracts that substantially exceeded the sales goal during the campaign.
Outcome
Downloads exceeded 1,100,000 during the campaign. Increased data size by one Illumination signature was 20kb per e-mail.Estimated economic effect of e-mail transmission charges was JPY500,000,000.
