Execution

Instead of trying to change parking habits, we gave out car stickers to double parkers in crowded commercial neighbourshoods near Petronas stations. Each car sticker is printed with a unique QR code. The double parker downloads the free DoubleParkr app and pairs their phone to the sticker. They affix the sticker to their windshield and ‘forget’ about it. When the parked-in driver returns, he just needs to scan the QR code on the car sticker, triggering a notification to the double parker to move his car.

Outcome

As part of our pilot run, we have printed and given out 5000 stickers to date, all of which are being actively used. That already means 5000 more considerate drivers on the road. Feedback from Petronas station owners is that customers have already started inquiring about DoubleParkr car stickers. As such, the client has commissioned a larger-scale rollout, which we are in the midst of executing.
