In India, movie posters are advertised on the walls. As new posters are pasted, the old ones are torn out. However parts of the old posters remain. We placed posters with an image of a CD, where the disc area was actually a transparent sheet, on these torn posters. This gave the impression of the CD had scratches all over it. Thus driving home the point that Sansui DVD players play scratched discs perfectly.
Outcome
Across dealer showrooms, immediately within a week of the activity, footfalls were generated. They began asking for the DVD that plays scratched disks as well. And the sales were more than the demands.
