Description
The agency built an interactive digital training tool for psychiatrists to use as a real-life simulation of clinical practice: a serious game.
Why a serious game in medical education, then? It is a strong educational tool that facilitates interactivity. It is an innovative and creative approach that enables an immersive experience. On top of that, it drives motivation and engagement like no other tool.
Execution
Content (2 clinical cases containing 4 virtual consultations on a 10-year follow-up) has been developed with the support of two French psychiatrists experts (KOL), Dr Ludovic Samalin (Clermont-Ferrand, France) and Pr Guillaume Vaiva (Lille, France). 3 board meetings have been organized with experts to prepare clinical cases scenarios, to develop and implement content (dialog and evaluation quiz after each virtual consultation), then to validate the interface and navigation of the serious game, developed by our technical partner.
Early april 2015 was organised a "Train the Trainer” working session gathering 20 trainer/ambassador psychiatrists and moderated by the two KOL psychiatrists. It was the starting point of the "E-schizophrenia" training program : Janssen's representatives invited psychiatrists to attend "e-schizophrenia"professional meetings all over France. To date, 67 meetings have occurred.
Outcome
In terms of facts and figures: after 1 year of roll out, 67 meetings have been organized across French regions and 462 psychiatrists have attended the “E-schizophrenia” program.
Satisfaction and engagement scores exceed expectations with a 66.5 NPS (Net Promoter Score) when average scoring merely reaches 8.7.
Janssen’s sales force received many positive feedbacks from psychiatrists attendees, highlighting the “positive interaction”, valuing the “positive experience” and thanking them for this “unique sharing experience”.
