Description

Vattenfall was the official sponsor of the 2006 European Athletics Championships (EAC) in Gothenburg, 7-13 August 2006. The main purpose for connecting the Vattenfall brand with EAC 2006 was to strengthen the knowledge of Vattenfall as a leading, as well as empathetic and progressive, European energy company.During the European Athletics Championships (EAC) in Gothenburg, Vattenfall activated their sponsorship through a combination of accessible media channels to be able to reach prioritized target groups with the message that they were an official sponsor of the 2006 European Athletics Championships (EAC)

Execution

The campaign consisted of: TVC campaign, Press & Outdoor, Web, Event installation, Customer Hospitality and Public activities. Most of the activities were based on the idea of letting people in different and fun ways compare themselves with the athletes and in that way create a relationship between Vattenfall, athletes and The Athletics Championships. The colour orange (Vattenfall's colour) was used throughout the championship to create consistency and brand awareness.
