This spot was created to raise awareness of the concept of Green-washing. Green-washing is a phrase used to describe the act of pretending to be green in order to mislead consumers and or voters about the true nature of products and policies.
The MTV Green Song is a tongue-in-cheek film about how to identify the ‘false greens’ in the world. It educates and encourages us to know think about what being green really means.In other words, you don’t have to be ‘green’ to be green.
