Description
The visual concept for the design of the User-Interface is derived from the established needs of the textual/content-based concept and from the associations that allow for discovery, understanding and visualization of content within that may be unclear. The elementary textual and visual building-block is the actual sinking itself. A chain of 58 processed, editorial descripions chart all the events in the years before, during and after the sinking of the Estonia on 16 different theme-levels. Each description has a textual and visual connection to: - the theme-level the event belongs to- the point in time when the event ocurred with respect to the entire timeline- a short description of the event- questions resulting from contradictory information surrounding the event- representations of the event (Assets: Picture, Animation, Video, Audio)- pre-trained agents (which provide the user with dynamic, updated result-lists)- editorial, investigative research and contributions to the document-database and the theme-forum.- experts who can serve as contacts for registered users interested in the specific event and/or subtopic- discussions of chats about the information, questions and associations that have developed surrounding the event.
