We didn't have the funds and permissions for a long-term solution, and therefore had to rely on something quick and cost-effective that would mask the problem. We realised that the objective of the exercise was not to redevelop the area, but to brighten up the day for our employees as they walked in the heat and dust to work. The best way to do this was with a little dose of art and culture.
