Monday, the most unpopular day of the week, comes to life in this TVC for MGM National Harbor. As the Monday character walks through the fun and exciting locations of MGM National Harbor, he witnesses people enjoying themselves, trying to grapple with the idea that people are actually having a good time on Monday. Because in his mind, that's unheard of - and completely uncalled for.
Execution
What would a day of the week look like if it were an actual person? We knew Monday would have to seem unpopular, Tuesday a bit of an introvert, Wednesday the hump you have to struggle to get over, and Thursday is almost the weekend but not quite. But while our characters would be confused and upset about all the fun people are having at MGM, they would still have to be likeable. In order to make sure found the right talent to pull off this delicate balance, we casted in multiple cities - New York, Los Angeles and Washington DC. We also cast employees of MGM National Harbor to portray themselves as dealers, servers, pit bosses and mixologists for authenticity.
