Description
Expansion: the media installation extends the real space of the Audi City Locations into the endless depths of the digital world. The boundaries between real and virtual installations are eliminated.
We generate simulations and integrate these into the existing dynamic film sequences for an entirely new spatial experience. Viewers are drawn into the different worlds of quattro.
Execution
The media display is shown on a floor-to-ceiling high-end presentation space, the so-called Audi Powerwall, at the Audi City locations around the world. Reality then opens up into a virtual, abstract space direct before the viewers’ eyes, captivating and taking them on a journey past brightly illuminated media displays. These show a variety of quattro models as the main actors in real film sequences of different quattro worlds. These interact with the viewers, entering the virtual space as particle simulations of rain, sand or leaves.
The idea for the presentation was developed based on the Audi City locations and an initially dynamic collage of the available real film footage. This created the idea of a virtual interaction between the real film and a camera lens, which is then continued in a virtual interaction between the room and viewer.
Outcome
Due to the incredibly positive feedback from customers, the press and employees alike, this presentation was carried over into all Audi environments.
The film was played over 60,000 times on the Audi City Berlin Facebook page alone.
