Description

Finishizer is a relatively young Polish studio creating photo realistic 3D CGI, photo manipulation and post-production services of photographic images, for the purposes of professional print advertising.

How to increase its perception among advertising professionals worldwide with a very limited budget? Creatives share great work.

So, instead of taking a typical demo/reel/portfolio path, we decided to produce a relevant ad that would get talked about. The agency came up with a tag line “Best finish you can imagine” and we started to look for the right story. The answer was found in the public German archives (bundesarchive.de) and had a scary face of Third Reich fanatics.

Months of negotiating and post-production gave birth to Fail Hitler. As a result we have already achieved slightly more than expected. Our print appeared in Luerzer’s Archive. It was named one of the best ads of 2014 by both Ads of he World and Creative Bloq.

It received Gold and Grand Prix nominations at the KTR (Polish Ad Club) and one of the speakers at London’s PromaxBDA qualified it as “I wish I’ve done that”. The best thing is that every publication of this print is in fact a corporate communication PR. And yes, Finishizer is receiving more and more inquiries from all around the world.

Execution

We found the right photo in the public German archives, bought and manipulated it. The result of our work was advertised in Luerzer’s Archive.

Outcome

Fail Hitler went viral. As a result we have already achieved what we expected.

It appeared in 1120 professional web pages and blogs from South America to Japan, from Russia to United States.

It was named one of the best ads of 2014 by both Ads of he World and Creative Bloq.

It received Gold in print and Grand Prix Nomination at the KTR (Polish Ad Club). One of the speakers at London’s PromaxBDA qualified it as “I wish I’ve done that”.

The best thing is that every publication of this print is in fact a corporate communication PR – in every major ad agency there is at least one creative who knows our ad and our brand.

Finishizer is getting talked about. Compared to last year it recorded a 30% increase in enquires from all around the world. If we don’t leave Cannes empty handed, this will truly be the best finish we can imagine.
