Description

We created a Fake Store in the middle of our major competitor, Moreira Cesar Street. This Fake Store was customized as a real store from an exclusive brand of Plaza Shopping. The selected brand for this stunt was GAP. This Fake GAP Store had the same Facade as the real one. But on the inside, the store was almost empty with just a few fake promotions and a banner written: "If you really want to know the GAP store, get into the car parked in front here and lives that unforgettable experience". The private driver outside the store, took all the costumers to Plaza Shopping. And we gave them special discounts in all exclusive stores.

Execution

We rent a store in the middle of Moreira Cesar Street. The Fake GAP Store looked as real one. With fake promotions and a fake facade to attract our target. The Inside, the store was empty with only a banner that was written: "If you really want to know the GAP store, get into the car parked in front here and lives that unforgettable experience". Along with the store we had a privet driver to take people to the mall with special discounts.

During two days, costumers that were shopping in Moreira Cesar street and entered the Fake Store, was surprised and amazed with this stunt.

Outcome

During the first weekend of activation, we had more than 250 people visiting de Fake store.

40% of them accepted to go at that exact moment to Plaza Shopping with our privet driver.

In comparison with the months before, the sales after the Fake Store increased in 37%

and the number of visitors increased in 23% in the Plaza Shopping extension area.
