We know there are certain scenes that all movie buffs love. So we created idents that re-enacted and celebrated cinema’s greatest moments, such as the car chase, the first kiss, the alien invasion and the classic cliff-hanger. And starring as the heroes and heroines were the SKY Angles – freshly created characters inspired by the triangular elements of SKY’s visual identity.
Outcome
The crowd went wild. Our idents captured New Zealand’s attention, sparking a huge social media conversation around favourite films, most-loved moments, and of course, SKY Movies. What’s more, they brought our customers some much-appreciated entertainment in a time when they needed it most – ad breaks. Since launch, the brand’s gone from strength to strength, and left Kiwis with no doubt that SKY are just as fanatical about film as they are.
